About Us

We´re a group of ovarian cancer survivors who live in Saskatchewan who meet once a month to give each other support and understanding as we go through this journey together. The women attending are women who have survived ovarian cancer, women who are presently going through treatment, and we have our spouses, friends and family, who also attend to give each other support and understanding.

Mainly, we get together to provide each other with support, information and to share experiences. We find that in this sharing we are better able to cope with having cancer, dealing with the various treatments, and helping our friends and family.

Just as important though, we are very interested in creating awareness of ovarian cancer among the general public and in educating the medical community about the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer. If we can make the public more aware of the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer then it can be treated in the earlier stages rather than in late stage as so many of us are.

We need to speak loud in order to change things which will help women get earlier diagnosis and treatment to have better outcomes and longer lives.
